Rob believes this is the best way to learn. It begins to become an educational habit. Aside from the weekly interviews, Rob has the Monday Message. This began in June 2015 and continues today. Whether Rob is recalling a quote, suggesting a book, speaking about his own experiences, or just getting Photo World motivated to CRUSH their photography business; He delivers a unique perspective on a range of topics to keep us interested in all the aspects of photography and running a small business.

Today’s featured guest is JP Teutonico.

JP is an award winning photographer, having been named TheKnot.com’s best of weddings for 2013, 2014, and 2015 in Manhattan, Long Island, and Connecticut.

Let me start by saying I have the best job in the world and I absolutely love what I do. Its a far cry from my previous life where I spent years working in finance at Goldman Sachs and as a Partner at SecondMarket, but I am so happy to have found my calling in life!

When I'm not shooting fabulous couples there is nothing I like more than spending time with my beautiful wife and raising our incredible son Luca. I'm hoping he'll be traveling the world with us and having a blast playing soccer, snowboarding and learning how to cook our traditional Italian family dishes. Between my wife and I he's going to have no choice but to love music and be as creative as possible!

Today’s featured guest is Susan Shek. Susan is a New York City wedding photographer who, over the past 9 years, has been capturing love and telling love stories.

I was born and raised in New York City. I was always interested in photography and took a lot of polaroids. When the digital cameras came around I quickly picked up my love for photography and enjoyed capturing portraits and travel photos.

Photography has always been an important part of my life, and I enjoy waking up for it everyday. I have spent the past 9 years capturing love and telling love stories though my photos. I do everything in-house, from editing to album design. I also have a second shooter, partner, Mike that I have been best friends with for the past 17 years that gets my vision. Together we see the same story and produce amazing results for our clients.

What sets me apart from other wedding photographers is that I am there for you from the minute we start communicating, I am the one that is present on your wedding day, not some big company where you are hooked up with an associate you never meet until your big day. I am there to assist you with any friend-vendor recommendations, pinning the boutonnières, and most importantly there to witness your special day. Maybe I should have been a wedding planner too. Heehee. Please check out my reviews across the web for more references.

When I’m not photographing weddings, I am spending time with my boyfriend, cooking, or volunteering and rescuing puppies for Social Tees Animal Rescue.

Today’s featured guest is Sherry Hagerman. Sherry’s company, Allusion Photography, specializes in weddings, engagements, boudoir, and cinematography.

Sherry has recognized that as a bride and groom’s journey begins, the pictures are becoming their first family heirloom. Allusion Photography has mastered this important task and captures moments that will be everlasting memories.

I have always been inspired by photography – a pristine type of photography that portrays style, glamour and profound experiences.

Photographing a wedding is never about the process of the day – but rather appreciating the values and the new love that is before you. It truly is about capturing the passion, the feel and the first family memories that will set precedence for years to come.

For  every couple I tell a story-with a family, with a setting, with what they wear, and the love they surround themselves with. I want to reflect a feeling of romance and passion with a twist of art and sophisticated fashion. Depicting memories of a picturesque estate, a lush green park, or a stylish urban train station to the newly married homes of the distinguished, iconic and creative.

As an award winning wedding photographer, Petar Madzhurov uses a commercial approach with a glamor and fashion style to display his contemporary wedding imagery.

Being a photographer is not just a job for me.It's something that I really love to do. It's always amazing to take a special part of people's most memorable days.

I have photographed many weddings and each of them is unique and special for me. I'm always excited to meet with new people and to make new friends.
The main purpose of being a wedding photographer for me is to take the best possible photos capturing the whole atmosphere of the wedding day; from the fun getting ready pictures to the emotional moment of the father giving away his daughter, and all the crazy dances at the reception.
To provide the couple with the best results of my work, I use the so called commercial, glamorous, and fashionable style of photography. It's extremely important for me to create high-quality products in order to satisfy the most demanding clients.

Lauren & Chris Seibel Photography

Eight years in the making, this faith driven power couple team finally had their worlds collide in quite an unshakable pattern.  One leap of faith after another has lead Lauren & Chris on both of their journeys of a lifetime!  When stars collide, usually there is quite an explosion, and sticking true in their case they have contained their explosion into one mind blowing perfect image after another.

Lauren started her modeling career in 2006 at exactly the same time Chris started his videography/ photography career.  In 2013 the couple started discussing life/career/family goals realizing they both had the same dream of owning their own company.  As scary as that is for most family businesses these two almost laughed at the challenge knowing very well how capable the other was.  They immediately fell in love not only with each other but the concept of commercial wedding photography as well.  With a little faith and some hard work it wasn't long before people started catching along.    People can see their chemistry behind the camera and computer and notice how quickly and contagious their spirits are.  That is exactly what these two bring to the table a female and male perspective.  Although their main focus is wedding photography they do family-senior-children & commercial photography.
